Bush's plan to regulate finacial market stability

I like and believe in the plan that Bush's administration is introducing to congress. In this plan, I believe the plan will give needed regulations to biased institutions. This plan was first brought to surface last year by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson. Now, Bush administration is backing the plan and will introduce it to Congress on March 31, 2008. Furthermore, we need more plans with democratic stamp approvals to pass if we are going to keep America dominant world power and a place where American’s want to live. It is preposterous to me that an investment bank would give the public, a sub prime mortgage carrying the highest security rating, knowing that the certain families would not be able to pay their note, and in turn family houses will be foreclosed. The proposed plan would be overseen by the Fed, but the Fed would only impose sanctions on an investment bank when it poses a high risk to the entire financial system . According to the summary provided by the administration, the plan will organize and minimize the banking and securities regulators. This plan will effect everyone from wall street investors to hedge funds, It is a belief in the democratic party that a new system of financial stability in the United States of America needs to be set in place. Other, democrats are drafting bills to stiffen supervision over credit default swaps to Wall Street investment banks. Under this terrific plan the fed would be able to keep a close eye on investment banks, brokerage firms and commodity-trading exchanges etc... . The Idea of a deeper look at this economy will get my vote any day and I am all for a new and improved way of financial stability in this country.V

Obama Aide Sorry for 'Monster' Comment

Decision 2008 is one of the most popular presidential nomination campaigns in history. It has brought forth a lot of media attention; attracting one of the highest on record voter turn out. The presidential candidates must stay on their p's and q's, as it is a very close race and anybody can be the victor at this point. Also, the actions of those in the political candidates’ camp can have a negative impact on the outcome of the campaign. Mudslinging is very common in politics. So far in the primaries the Democrats have run a pretty clean race. In, "Obama Aide Sorry for 'Monster' Comment," we get a good example of mudslinging and how it obscures the public’s impression of the whole political outfit. An adviser to Obama reportedly told a Scottish newspaper that Hillary Clinton was a "monster." Obama believes that this race should be based on the embitterment of the nation, and not deceitful campaign tactics. This comment made by his adviser is kind of a blow to his integrity. Obama commented on this indiscretion and said that the views of his advisers are not necessarily his own, and that such indiscretions have no place in this campaign. I think that this is definitely a knock to Obama's integrity. When the campaign starts to reach these kinds of lows, we as the public, start to see ourselves as a secondary interest. Obama's campaign stood on truths, change, and building up the community. When the candidates start going back and forth, criticizing each other, we start to question their integrity.

In Support of Hillary

I am writing in support of the article that gives great detail in the debate between barrack obama and Ms. Hillary Clinton. There are great points in this article it gives a great understanding of how the debate went and who won and did not win. The debate was held in Austin Texas and while I was unable to go I still feel it was a special debate to all democratic Texans. The debate was long and very intense the candidates made good points but also did not seem so strong at various times during the debate. The article portrays the different sets of moods in the debate and gave a lot of quotes which I like, the article also quoted a nineteen year old Texan who attends university of Texas at Austin as saying twenty or thirty years from now this is something she will look back and say wow that was something I attended (speaking of the debate). Those to me are very crucial points an article needs to have is quotes or as I like to say “coming straight from the horse’s mouth” it was a great article on great subject so I feel everyone should give ten minutes of your time to read an article that blew me away and if I was not a participant of the debate , but I was then I would surely would have regretted not doing so after reading this article. I am democrat so hit the heart just a little more but I am sure democrats, republicans and other would love to have seen this debate it was two intelligent people going on about subjects that are very serious to this great country. My opinion is for anyone reading this to read the article and watch the debate because their both “GREAT”.
