Texas Law could be affected by higher supreme court rulings

“The Supreme Court heard challenges Wednesday to a Louisiana law allowing the death penalty for child rapists”. I selected this story because it close to home, one of my family members went through something like this and I am very supportive of the death penalty. I believe once a child is abused and raped aggressively that there life is scared and that is something they have to live with their entire life. There is an argument saying that is unusual and cruel punishment to give a man the death penalty because he did not take a life. But, how more cruel and unusual does it get to invade a child and take away their innocence. Another, argument is that the rapist will be scared and kill the child if the death penalty is what he has to look for if caught, and my argument is to kill a child is very hard, for the simple fact you have parents, grandparents and other family members who love the child. I stand behind the death penalty if not life without the chance of parole. Tough and aggressive sentences will cut down the rate of children getting raped of their body and innocence of the mind. In some cases, the guy maybe sixteen or seventeen years of age and the women twenty-five I feel that should be punished with a slap on the wrist because no one was hurt physically or mentally. But if a young lady is touch or molested then I believe that the worse penalty I can seek is what would be most beneficiary for all parties. If a man will seek for a child then he has a problem and needs help, therefore the longer in prison the more help he will receive in my opinion. I have four uncles in the penitentiary and I know for a fact that prison will make you fly straight, I also believe that rapist are the worst criminals next to repetitive murders.

Response to "Is Obama Truly the Best"

I agree with "Under One Nation" on the questioning Barack Obama's contribution to the United States. As he is very popoular among the masses, he is lacking popularity in the political arena. He has the least experience of all the other candiates. I think his whole campaign is a show. His whole political platform is a fairy tale. He needs to jump back into reality and deal with the issues that face us as Americans. He tackles issues in a way that we would want him to, rather than how they should be from a pratical perspective. He thinks like the average American, rather than the leader of a nation. I think he would be much better suited as being an American rather than leading and representing America. If he sharpened up on his leadership skills rather than buddy skills, he would have a chance. The fact that he relates to everyone, and that he's telling us what we want to hear may get him elected. If he has all the attributes to be the next president of the United States, I'm not so sure of that.
